RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter flies man to hospital after Bruce Freeway crash

A person has been flown to hospital after he was severely injured in a motorcycle incident on the Sunshine Coast.

Emergency crews have been referred to as to Palmview after a person in his 50s misplaced management of the motorbike he was driving alongside to the Bruce Freeway at about 10.37am on Tuesday.

It is understood the person was driving and towing a trailer, when he misplaced management whereas touring southbound alongside the busy freeway.

The motorcycle and trailer then reportedly jackknifed and the person was thrown from the bike.

He was handled for a number of critical traumatic accidents, together with to his chest, arms and leg.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was referred to as and landed on a stretch of freeway shortly after 11am.

Queensland Police Service officers had closed all southbound lanes through the incident.

The person was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Ladies’s Hospital in a critical situation.

Drivers are urged to anticipate delays.
